Description: The WorkQuality Engineer supporting the Sikorsky Backshop Quality organization in the Aerostructures Product Center. This role reports the the Aerostructures Quality Manager and is located at the Sikorsky Bridgeport, CT site. This role is for a full time on-site position.- Collaborates with operations management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.- Support the product center in root cause investigations and shop floor process/product improvement plans- Participate in quality planning for Sikorsky in-house production- Collaborate with Supplier Quality on supplier escapes, quality issues and improvements- Support internal and external audits of our quality systems, policies and procedures- Support Quality Management System (QMS) development and improvement activitiesBasic Qualifications:- Professional experience and background in Quality Assurance, Project Management or related technical discipline-Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education-This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US CitizenDesired Skills:- Experience work in ISO 9001 or AS9100 certified Quality Management System- Experience with applying Quality concepts and tools including root cause/corrective action- First Article Inspection- SAP and/or Solumina Experience- Previous experience working in an aerospace manufacturing environmentClearance Level: NoneOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match.
