Job Summary:The Regeneration Operator prepares resin, mobile equipment and ion exchange resin tanks for customer fulfillment. Regenerates ion exchange resin and media with various chemicals. Handles chemicals such as acids, bases, and salts. Performs quality control checks on the equipment and is generally responsible for tasks performed by Plant Operations.Duties and Responsibilities:Receives resin from customer sites in resin tanks or on mobile equipment. Empties tanks or equipment of the exhausted media and prepares it for regenerationRegenerates ion exchange resins and media with acids, bases, and other chemicalsPerforms quality control checks on the equipment to ensure specifications are met. Tests may include pH, specific ions, resistivity, and TDSRepairs and helps maintain the bottles/tanks and other service-type equipment, which could include minor valve/PVC repairs, painting, and refurbishing as requiredPrepares resin tanks or mobile equipment by filling empty tanks with regenerated mediaSeparates ion exchange resins as requiredPrepares labels for resin tanksMonitors bulk chemical deliveryFollows EHS procedures and policiesWe take safety seriously and require everyone to wear personal protective equipment, for example, safety glasses, gloves, earplugs, and safety shoes, as required Other duties as assignedThe job description is not designed to capture all the employee’s responsibilities but is intended to capture essential functions of the role.
