Job Description:The Mathematics Department, in the College of Arts and Sciences at Fairfield University, invites applications for two tenure track positions in Mathematics at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in September 2025, pending final budget approval. We seek highly qualified candidates with a PhD in Mathematics or closely related field. One position will have research interests in applied mathematics with preference for applicants whose research includes financial mathematics or stochastic differential equations. The other position will have research interests in number theory and cryptography. Teaching responsibilities will be at the undergraduate and graduate (Master’s) level.Requirements:Applicants are expected to have completed a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related field: one position will have research interests in applied mathematics with preference for applicants whose research includes financial mathematics or stochastic differential equations; the other position will have research interests in number theory and cryptography. Demonstrated excellence in teaching is essential, as well as strong evidence of research potential.
