Assistant Project Manager

Job DescriptionInsight Global is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join a construction project management firm located in Hartford, CT. This person should have 2+ years of experience in commercial construction projects. The Assistant Project Manager is required to be a self-motivated, organized, project team member that supports project leadership on multiple projects simultaneously with a primary focus on project administration and communication. The Assistant Project Manager is expected to support day-to-day operations and report to multiple project leaders.Responsibilities also include: 

Work collaboratively with designated client principles and other members of the Owners team

Assist with the coordination of 3rd party consulting services such as estimating, education specification development, public communications, etc.

Assist with the reconciliation of cost estimates and develop project budgets for final approval

In conjunction with the project manager, assist in the preparation of OGA grant application reviews, approvals, and timely submissions

Create project schedules for the client including all municipal and owner required approvals

Perform all administrative duties related to project documentation, record keeping and filing

Report regularly to project leadership on project status, financials, schedules, etc.

Bachelors degree in construction management or related field of study.

Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Project

Financial management experience - CT school construction experience

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Excellent judgment, organization, and time management skills null
