Grant Thornton is seeking a Pricing Associate Director to join the team. Approved office locations can be found below. The Value Creation Office (VCO) is seeking a new Associate Director to support its work across multiple pillars. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Pricing to oversee the daily execution of our firm’s enterprise pricing strategies and processes. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that pricing decisions are accurate, efficient, adopted, and aligned with our overall business objectives. As part of the VCO, you will work closely with other members of the team as well as with leaders across the Tax, Audit, and Advisory functions. You will also interact with senior corporate leaders that will be closely involved in the realization of this program. This role will also collaborate with our information technology leaders and partners to design and implement our internal pricing capabilities.Your day-to-day may include:Overall

Pricing execution and management: Implement and manage day-to-day pricing activities, ensuring that pricing decisions are executed accurately and in a timely manner across the firm’s service lines

Reporting strategy: Work with internal leaders to design a series of internally created reports to track and manage the effectiveness of the firm’s pricing strategies across the Partner Experience (e.g., from client negotiation, client acceptance, contract creation, billing, and invoicing / A/R)

Communication and change management: Facilitate the usage and adoption of pricing tools / recommendations by effectively interacting with key stakeholders across a range of channels including meetings, emails, office hours, status check-ins, leadership reviews, etc.

Effectively drive simultaneous high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment

Navigate ambiguity and bring structured thinking to unstructured challenges

Build relationships with internal clients and collaborate within and across teams to drive successful engagement / initiative outcomes

Operate with a strong client-centric mindset and integrate that perspective into each action to ensure that the output lands and is adopted within the organization

Additional tactical responsibilities

Process optimization: Continuously improve workflows, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and respond to feedback; identify and implement best practices for pricing management

Cross-functional collaboration: Ensure that pricing strategies are consistent and aligned to business objectives across the firm’s service lines and main workstreams of pricing activity

Data analysis: Analyze effectiveness of program implementation and resulting metrics to identify optimization opportunities and areas for improvement; assess and identify potential pricing solutions for multi-offering packages and sales motions

Report creation / presentation: Own and prepare regular reports and present insights to senior corporate leadership, Service Line Leaders, Solution Family Leaders, and the firm’s Partners / Principals / Managing Directors (PPMDs) that will ultimately be responsible for execution of the firm’s pricing strategy

Pricing tools and systems: Oversee the day-to-day management of internal pricing reports and tools that will need to integrate with the firm’s core systems (e.g., CRM, staffing, profitability planning, etc.); drive collection and codification of user requirements for pricing tools to be built in-house

Training and support: Provide training and support to team members and other departments on pricing recommendations, processes, and systems; act as a point-of-contact for pricing related queries from the firm’s PPMDs

You have the following technical skills, qualifications, and experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics or similar preferred

Knowledge of pricing strategies, methodologies, and tools

Well-versed in data visualization technologies (e.g., PowerBI); proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Minimum 6 years of related work experience in a consulting practice or function servicing cross-industry clients at a national level in growth strategy, marketing strategy, pricing strategy, or quantitatively rigorous environments

Industry recognized professional certifications such as PMP/PMI, AAI, CSM a plus

Strong critical thinking / problem-solving skills with a proven track record of developing solutions to complex problems

Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, and deliver against tight deadlines in dynamic environments

Effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts both in writing and verbally to executive audiences

Intellectual curiosity and motivation to develop professionally, including industry recognized professional certifications

Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment

Can travel as needed. Expected travel is up to 25%

The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Chicago, IL, Downers Grove, IL, Denver, CO and Baltimore, MD offices only is between $152,000 and $228,000 per year.

The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Washington, DC, Bellevue, WA, Los Angeles, CA, San Diego, CA, and New York, NY offices only is between $164,200 and $246,200 per year.

The base salary range for this position in the firm’s San Francisco, CA and San Jose, CA offices only is between $174,800 and $262,200 per year.
