Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?
Travelers is seeking an initiative taking, experienced technical engineer able to take a horizontal view across our Business Insurance Technology landscape to define and support continuous improvement initiatives. (1) Focused on learning and leveraging ServiceNow capabilities current and future, technical and non-technical. (2) Very strong analytical and critical thinking skills in the Problem Management arena - root cause analysis driving system stability. Work with application and infrastructure owners to prevent incident recurrence. (3) Conduct data analysis across many sources and technologies such as application performance monitoring, incident/problem/change management data as well as typical application and platform views. Ability to identify trends and provide metrics and reporting through a horizontal lens. All while working within an Agile framework.
This role is part of an evolving team focused on driving actions to meet key objectives and KPI's, leveraging newly implemented ServiceNow capabilities and demonstrating a broad understanding of technology stacks. Under limited supervision, demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the activities performed related to engineering support, installation and/or operations of application, infrastructure and cloud technologies. Plans at a tactical level and manages through influence the effective use of tools and technology resources for assigned projects and functions. May direct assigned team members to design, develop and/or implement complex technology solutions supporting one or more business and/or technology areas. Develops and implements appropriate solutions that may involve multiple platforms, databases, software/hardware technologies and tools promoting strong end to end stability. Embraces continuous learning as technologies emerge while enhancing current data collection and monitoring systems that provide insight into the business/customer experience. Facilitates and/or participates in some complex across line of business escalations. Strong ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities.
