The successful candidate will be expected to fulfill the following responsibilities.
Troubleshoot complex ENG systems, SDI video routers, microwave systems, ENG Vehicles, Cellular Bonded News Gathering systems as well as other broadcast & production systems
Strong understanding of Newsroom Control systems and automation workflows
Read schematic diagrams and troubleshoot analog and digital equipment to the component level.
Troubleshoot and respond in a timely fashion to maintenance needs
Basic Requirements:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in broadcast maintenance engineering
Minimum 3 years’ experience with digital microwave transmission systems, fixed and portable as well as digital encoder systems
Working knowledge ENG and Satellite transmission maintenance and repair
Knowledge and experience in studio switching systems, automation control, graphics systems and audio systems in News, production, and on-air environments
Working knowledge of analog and digital IFB and PL communication systems

This position is covered under a collective bargaining agreement between the Company and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). The successful candidate will be required to join IBEW if not already a member and remain a member of the union in good standing.
