Kforce has a client that is seeking a Fund Accountant in Hartford, CT.Overview:The firm is embarking on a major technology initiative to replace the general ledger, revise processes, and elaborate reporting capabilities. This positon will participate in this initiative as applicable based on skills. Essential Duties:

Depending on experience, have accounting and reporting responsibilities for assigned real estate investments; Our company invests in various property types, often using complex investment structures

Assist senior accountants with assignments, such as more complex real estate investments, fund reporting, and advanced analysis

Assist in the preparation of various quarterly and annual reports

Assist/lead on ad hoc projects, such as client requests and assisting on validating system data

Undergraduate or graduate degree with a major in Accounting; Minor in Computer and Information Systems is a plus

2 years of public accounting experience or experience in real estate accounting

Experience with accounting, in valuation of complex instruments, and in the use of fund accounting applications and shareholder systems

Yardi experience is a plus

Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills

Demonstrated experience with technology, using technology to create reporting to enhance analysis

Time management skills and efficient utilization of technology

Strong oral and written communication skills

Strong Excel skills
