Job DescriptionOverview: We are seeking an Interface Architect to play a pivotal role in our Public Health Solutions team. The primary focus of this role is to drive and support critical public health initiatives such as Electronic Lab Reporting (ELR), Syndromic Surveillance, Immunizations, and Electronic Case Reporting (eCR).As an Interface Architect, you will design, develop, and implement data interfaces that enable seamless healthcare data exchange, facilitating timely and accurate reporting, monitoring, analysis, and support of public health efforts.In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, and external partners to deliver a high-quality, integrated interface architecture in a timely manner that meets both technical and client expectations.Key Responsibilities:

Interface Design and Development:

Lead interface design and architecture for complex public health solutions.

Oversee the development and implementation of interfaces for initiatives like ELR, Syndromic Surveillance, Immunizations, and eCase Reporting.

Ensure interfaces are designed to meet project scope and client needs.

Collaboration / Project Work:

Collaborate with clients and internal teams to manage project changes and communicate with impacted stakeholders.

Maintain open and clear communication channels with stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.

Lead interface design and specification review sessions with clients.

Plan and oversee interface installations.

Technical Leadership:

Provide senior-level guidance to associates and clients regarding interface architecture and design.

Mentor and support team members in daily tasks and troubleshooting.

Drive interface testing strategies with solution and project teams.

Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:

Utilize critical thinking to resolve complex interface issues and technical challenges.

Provide technical support and problem resolution for interface architecture and design.

Basic Qualifications:

Seven years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:

Three years of system interface/system engineering experience.

Six years of work experience supporting a healthcare environment directly related to the duties of the job, or equivalent higher education.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.

HL7 interface work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Five years of experience with HL7, X12, IHE, or comparable interface work.

Experience with message types such as ORÚ, ADT, VXU, and QBP.

Three years of experience with FSI interfaces.

Three years of database experience.

Two years of experience with CCL and FHIR.

Experience with OPENLink and programming/scripting work.

Experience with Oracle Health Immunization Hub

Expectations:

Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations.

Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand your role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate actions to prevent any security compromises.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
