Our objective is to be an indispensable payments partner to our customers while simultaneously delivering differentiated products and services that meet or exceed customer needs. Our goal is to drive revenue growth and premium economics for both Merchants and American Express.The B2B- Product, Partnerships, & Client Management (BPPC) organization within Merchant Services – U.S. is responsible for scaling supplier revenue, increasing acceptance through partnerships and new AR automation strategies, and incorporating the voice of the supplier into our buyer-led, supply chain, and AP Automation solutions.MS-U.S. has been investing in strategies to accelerate growth and develop deeper relationships with B2B suppliers. To fully realize our growth potential, a strategic initiative for MS-U.S. is scaling our value-added service partnerships with AR Automation providers and by enhancing our enablement process.The AR Specialist will serve as the key stakeholder responsible for managing and coordinating with Client Management and Merchant Acquisition field colleagues on all key activities related to the sourcing, qualifying, presenting, and ramping of Accounts Receivable software solution deals.Primary Responsibilities:· The AR Specialist will be customer facing and will be responsible for the following key tasks:o Develop and execute strategic initiatives to ensure broad adoption of AR Automation across assigned territoryo Work with the direct field sales organization to drive charge volume through Accounts Receivable software saleso Action opportunities for scalable growth and liaise with GCS teams to deliver spendo Collaborate with B2B Partnerships team in partnering with AR Automation providers and providing product feedback on client receptivenesso Develop deep knowledge and expertise across all our AR Automation software offeringso Train and develop new and existing sales resources on AR Automation saleso Manage and execute all key phases of the sales process from sourcing to closingo Coordinate and manage the implementation process with internal stakeholders, B2B Merchants and AR Automation partnersQualifications:

Minimum of 3 years in a direct client facing role

The ability to understand complex technology and articulate it in simple non-technical terms (track record of working with sales process engineering a plus)

Strong working knowledge of the AP-AR payments & reconciliation process and accompanying ERP and software solutions

Deep understanding of the overall Order to Case processes and comfort in our full AR Automation product suite

Ability to quickly make decisions and drive results in a dynamic and ever-changing environment

Creative problem-solving skills with track record of overcoming objections to drive growth

Ability to lead informally, collaborate and build relationships within and across all levels of the organization (i.e. Product, Marketing, Sales, etc.)

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor a message to a diverse set of audiences (customer, colleague, business partners, leadership)

Strong project management skills, with excellent ability to prioritize effectively and drive results

Outstanding presentation skills, both oral and written

Energetic and enthusiastic team player and supporter, with strong will to win

Prior knowledge and / or experience in B2B is strongly preferred.

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Ability to work in a virtual environment and domestic travel as needed

Role requires 30% travel

Location: New York preferred but open to virtual candidates
