I am seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) with experience assisting people with Cerebral Palsy (CP) to join my professional care providers. The role involves aiding me with daily activities that I cannot perform independently, enabling me to focus on activities I can do alone. As a 74-year-old man with Cerebral Palsy, I live independently in Glastonbury housing and require assistance with daily hygiene, food preparation, weekly grocery shopping, light housekeeping, and laundry. The position offers flexible hours and pays $18.25 per hour. Only serious inquiries from experienced candidates will be considered; a driver's license and dependable transportation are necessary.

PCAs will receive a 26% wage increase over a three-year contract period, with the hourly wage rising to $23 by January 1, 2026. Longevity bonuses will be granted to PCAs working with the same consumer-employer for two or more years. PCAs currently receive time-and-one-half for hours worked on six holidays (New Year’s Day; Martin Luther King, Jr. Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Thanksgiving Day; and Christmas Day). Juneteenth and Labor Day will be added to that list Paid time off accruals will be increased and health care premium assistance will be expanded. Additionally, $750,000 will be allocated for worker training and tuition reimbursement for PCA courses.
