SOCIAL MEDIA & MARKETING SPECIALIST
Our company is looking for an experienced Social Media & Marketing Specialist who is willing to work hard and grow with the company. The Social Media & Marketing Specialist will report directly to the Marketing Manager and will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the successful implementation and completion of planned marketing programs. The ideal candidate will focus on social media communication, assist in the development of marketing promotions and collateral, track existing marketing campaigns, and run reports on results.
DUTIES
Compose and post proficiently across the companys social media platforms: Blog, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and YouTube while communicating daily with followers and maintaining posting schedules.
Collaborate with social media Influencers to create innovative ways to gain exposure for brands and products.
Analyze campaigns and translate into ideas for revising social media, content marketing, SEO, and social advertising.
Assist with promotional activities such as eBlasts, contests, and giveaways, working in systems such as MailChimp, while maintaining schedules and acquiring necessary graphics and content from team members.
Update marketing and sales teams regularly with summaries of social media data and trends.
Support sales presentations by assembling presentation decks, videos, and product sell sheets, and compiling account and competitor analyses.
Work with the marketing and sales teams to create POS for placement in retail stores.
Create annual consumer show schedule and work closely with internal teams to prepare for events; attend several events a year which may include travel.
Serve as main point of contact for offsite cooking class attendees, create and maintain booking spreadsheets with attendee details.
Coordinate and host customer and consumer office visits.
Prepare PR kits and mailers, arrange printing and distributing.
Update website content and work with website agency to improve site functionality as needed.
Assist in the development of new packaging and revisions, compile relevant details, coordinate photography, update website images, notify and share images with sales team.
Proof social media posts, recipes, and packaging ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Estimate and coordinate print jobs.
Ensure samples are ordered and shipped for marketing team needs including Influencers, PR, and trade shows.
Organize and maintain virtual marketing library.
Create and maintain trade show fixtures, signage, and props inventory log.
Assist in monitoring active marketing programs and improving those campaigns.
Compile, maintain, and update budget spreadsheets.
Be available as a resource to key managers for assistance with completing large projects.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and online research.
Other administrative duties as assigned.
SKILLS
Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
2+ years experience working in marketing or communications including meaningful social media experience
Working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research and Google Analytics
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem solving skills
Ability to easily adapt to changing priorities
Work effectively both within a team and independently
Proficient in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Photoshop experience a plus
Excellent grammar and high level of attention to detail
Must have general math skills, reporting skills a plus
