THE WORK;
-Develops a manufacturing process by designing and applying knowledge of product, materials, assembly, tooling, and inspection; conferring with vendors; soliciting input from operators and having the understanding of cost impacts.
-Programming 3 & 4 axis CNC Machining Centers machines and CNC Turning Centers (G-Code Specific) using MasterCam X7
-Documenting processes and creating operation sketches using AutoCAD
-Assures product and process quality by developing robust and conforming processes with concise work instructions complemented by designing tools, fixtures & inspection methods.
-Prove out and trouble shoot processes as needed
-Maintains product and process databases
-Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-BS degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree with a minimum of 7+ years experience as a manufacturing engineer in an aerospace manufacturing environment or a combination of education and experience.
-Strong skills with Mastercam
-Strong skills with Solid Works CAD/CAM modeling.
-Strong skills using and understanding geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
-Lean Manufacturing experience
-Intermediate MS Excel skills required
-Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and listening
-CMM programming with Calypso is a definite plus
-Performing PFEMA and PPAP’s a definite plus
