Responsibilities:
Independently sets up, adjusts, troubleshoots and operates centerless or center grinding machines or honing machines on a diversified line of work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications requiring an intermediate level of skill
Setups involve familiarity with and understanding of manufacturing order of operations involving combinations of operations
Works from operation sheets, and machine setup instructions
Self-sufficient with work-holding and work support methods, stone selection, wheel speed, wheel dressing and machine adjustments
Education:
High school diploma/GED
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience as a grinding operator or 1 year of CNC machining experience.
Physical Demands:
Continual standing
Frequent mental and visual attention
Frequent bending, twisting
Frequent grasping items and tools
Occasional (15-40%) lifting and moving materials up to 50 lbs.
Will be required to work overtime and weekends to meet customer needs.
Pay: $28-34/hr DOE
2nd Shift: 3:30 - 1:00am
