Busy retail Garden Center in Simsbury center is seeking FT or PT person for plant care and retail sales. Work is physical and fun - No need for a gym membership if you work with us!
We work indoors & outdoors in all kinds of weather. Our staff is a cooperative team & we all work hard to support each other so that our individual responsibilities are completed each day. Customer service is of the utmost importance and requires everyone to be energetic and enthusiastic, polite, & helpful at all times.
Responsibilities include plant care, customer service, maintenance of indoor and outdoor displays, and more all in conjunction with our hard-working, knowledgeable, and friendly team. Must be willing to gradually learn the about the plants and products we sell to accurately communicate to customers.
Requirements:
- Enjoy working outdoors, rain or shine or hot weather
- Retail sales experience
- Able to provide efficient, courteous customer service
- Be available to work weekends
- Be physically strong (able to lift 50 lbs) and energetic
- Have an outgoing, friendly disposition
- Be a team player
- Be interested and willing to learn details about the plants we sell
- Have an interest in gardening & being outdoors
- Have a good work ethic & be self-motivated
