Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician

FCP Euro is hiring a Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Technician for our headquarters located in Milford, CT. The RME Technician will report to the RME Assistant Manager, providing tactical support for a variety of assigned tasks related to equipment preventative maintenance, distribution and material handling technology, facilities upkeep, property cleanliness, utility performance, hardware optimization, building security, key card entry interface, safety, and other company-wide processes. Overall, they will play a major role in keeping all the moving pieces in and around our building operating at reliable, safe, and effective levels. Perform hands-on, tactical work with minimal oversight

Define, document, and execute preventative maintenance schedule for powered industrial trucks (PIT), distribution technology and automation, material handling equipment, building utilities, and other pneumatic or hydraulic items

Serves as the primary tactical resource for all types hands-on tasks including but not limited to assembly, disassembly, movement, organization, installation, and cleaning of anything falling into FCP Euro operational purview

Perform repairs throughout the facility including painting, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc

Serves as point of contact with facility vendors to address repairs and maintenance they themselves cannot perform first including HVAC, plumbing, security, entry system, electrical, baler, and any other mechanical equipment

Independently monitor operations queue and disposition requests as they are submitted

Issues, prints, programs, and deactivates building entry ID cards as required

Explores and implements technology improvements

Effectively communications when work or changes are taking place to minimize disruption to office or distribution center staff

Challenges and grows themselves through feedback, development, supporting company and departmental goals, and explores multiple solutions before presenting the best course of action

Interfaces with cross-functional team members to improve company wide people, processes, and proficiencies

Supports and drives facility-wide safety regulatory compliance

Actively researches new technology to keep FCP Euro competitive by attending trade shows, webinars, and other educational events

Supports introducing the company to new technologies and material handling solutions

Provides support in key decision making alongside executive, leadership, and management teams

Documents various processes to create redundancy and can actively make decisions that deviate from that process if it’s the best course of action

Consistently delivering a "WOW" factor above and beyond customer expectations

Documenting and administrating duties

Qualifications and Skills

Professional certification(s) or progress shown within electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or related areas

Associate degree or relevant experience preferred

Automotive or machine shop experience

Must be able to lift up to 60+ pounds as necessary

Mechanical aptitude - Can properly use machinery, tools, and equipment to diagnose and fix routine problems

Communication skills - Is able to effectively relay ticket status and translate information between employees and vendors, asking the right questions to identify and correct weaknesses

Critical thinking skills - Can identify why processes or operations are not working as well as they should offer root cause solutions

Detail oriented - Possesses a strong observational ability, demonstrates cleanliness, neatness, “paints behind the cabinet” mentality

Can work around people while maintaining a positive, supportive demeanor

Strong oral and written communication skills

Proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, Gmail required, Google Docs preferred

Ability to control multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment; strong attention to detail while maintaining a high degree of accuracy

Compensation

$24+ per hour based on prior experience
