Job Summary The cardiology technician performs a variety of noninvasive and invasive cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures including performing EKG\'s, event monitoring application, pacemaker interrogation and, under the direction of a physician, perform stress testing procedures. Their responsibilities include taking vital signs and monitoring patient responses throughout diagnostic testing, rooming patients for visits, and reviewing their past medical history and medications. This position will also require occasional duties as a medical secretary when needed to support coverage which may include chart management, general receptionist and clerical duties in order to facilitate efficient functioning of the department. Education Requirements High School diploma or GED Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or certification in Cardiovascular Technology (Preferred) Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program (Preferred) Minimum Requirements One year of experience in diagnostic cardiology. Experience in cardiac stress testing and arrhythmia recognition is essential. Pacemaker experience is highly preferred. Position Description We are currently looking for a per diem Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our acute care team at The Hospital of Central Connecticut. The Occupational Therapist (OT) independently evaluates patients’ level of function and determines, develops, and implements individualized treatment goals and plans in alignment with the patient/caregiver goals. The Occupational Therapist (OT) determines treatment strategies and delivers Occupational Therapy services that promote health and wellness, prevent injury or disability, improve and develop self-dependency and maintenance, productivity, leisure, perceptual motor function, rest, mental, cognitive physical, sensory-perceptual, psychosocial developmental, and emotional wellbeing in a variety of contexts and environments in order to maximize function in the areas of daily living, leisure/recreation, and productivity/work. The Occupational Therapist (OT) delegates patient care responsibilities to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. This role encompasses evaluation skills and techniques, analysis of patients, and application Occupational Therapy to maximize the patient\'s functional independence. · Acute care working experience or affiliation highly preferred. · Graduate of Occupational Therapy Program from an accredited American Occupational Therapy Association school, BS degree or entry level master\'s degree. · Current Occupational Therapist License required. Position Description We’re currently seeking a per diem Physical Therapist (PT) to join our inpatient, acute care team. Flexible scheduling, Weekend coverage 2x/month. If available, weekday PRN The Physical Therapist (PT) independently evaluates, determines treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain, with emphasis on physical dysfunction. This role encompasses evaluation skills and techniques, analysis of patients, and therapeutic application of physical and chemical agents, exercise and other procedures to maximize the patient\'s functional independence. Evaluation involves strength, motor control, joint mobility, soft tissue integrity, pain, balance, coordination, posture, cardiopulmonary function, endurance, gait and functional abilities in activities of daily living. Reporting structure is dependent upon the site in which the staff member is assigned. · PT experience highly preferred. · BS, MS or DPT in Physical Therapy from an accredited American Physical Therapy Association Program. · Current licensure in the state of CT as a Physical Therapist. · Experience in an inpatient acute care setting preferred.
