Pillars of Learning is hiring experienced SSAT and SAT tutors.
Instructors are needed for in-person instruction for group classes. Classes run the last week of June through the last week of July in Wallingford. Classes meet 2x per week normally in the evening and 3x per week for proctoring practice tests (practice tests run late afternoon through early evening). This position is a 1099 contract position.
About you:
-At least 1 year teaching all sections of the SAT or SSAT
-Able to pass a background check
-Reliable transportation in the evenings to and from class sites
-Bachelor's degree required (no current undergraduate students, please)
-Able to teach a sample lesson for 20-30 minutes demonstrating your proficiency on the test(s)
Payment:
Payment starts at $100/hr for 10 hours of instruction and 6 hours of proctoring (1600/course). Experienced tutors with 3+ years experience and a track record of success can start at $125-150/hr. Returning tutors for following years start at $150/hr.
If you have no experience teaching the SSAT or SAT, you will not be considered.
