MTC is proud to operate the New Haven Job Corps Center in New Haven, CT where our staff provide quality services to our local youth. We value our professional and caring employees who are dedicated to improving people’s lives and we want YOU to join our team!What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for the new students coming to the center. They will coordinate and instruct the career preparation period for all incumbent students.Essential functions:

Plan, coordinate and conduct the CP program and other activities and lessons by using a variety of teaching strategies to meet student learning needs.

Recommend an appropriate training program for each assigned student using background files, personal interviews, tests, and other assessment tools.

Provide students with employment, career training, personal and social adjustment counseling on an individual and group basis.

Continuously evaluate individual student’s attitudes, participation, and commitment in career preparation program, intervene when inappropriate behaviors are observed.

Maintain documentation and training records for each student.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma and 2 years experience.

Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency required.

A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record
