job summary:
Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the design and delivery of digital capabilities within Workday HCM (Human Capital Management) to enhance employee experiences, promoting cross functional collaboration to drive innovation while working in an agile framework to deliver the highest value. This role will participate or facilitate sessions to design the automation of business processes, business rules and workflows that are scalable to allow for rapidly changing experiences and strategies. In addition, the Solutions Architect will recognize the needs of business customers, identify the outcomes to achieve, lead the planning, selection, implementation, and sustainment of solutions to support seamless and unique experiences to our community.
As part of the HR Technology team, this position will support the functional development of our client's benefits modules through optimizing current processes and configuration of new functionality and will partner with the key stakeholders in HR to evaluate requirements, research solutions, and advise stakeholders on best practices and considerations when making decisions. In this role, the Solutions Architect will engage with internal and external vendors in providing requirements for mapping and transformations of data from Workday to other systems and will also monitor changes implemented by Workday and react to them
appropriately with configuration changes and stakeholder communication.

Collaborate with the other members of the team to ensure the smooth running of Workday Benefits & Absence. Partner with the business to enhance current configuration, identify opportunities for functionality uptake and build and own recurring projects (including benefit plan set-up, open enrollment, ACA (Affordable Care Act), leave plans, etc.) Ensure compliance of benefit programs with all applicable laws and regulations (e.g., ERISA, HIPAA (Health
Insurance Portability and Accountability), COBRA). Keep up to date with all Workday functional improvements and enhancements and make recommendations accordingly while ensuring that twice-yearly Workday releases go live successfully. Interaction with outside vendors/contractors on technical issues pertaining to new and existing interfaces/extracts, enhancements, customizations, and problems.
Essential Duties
1. Analyzes changes of product design to determine the effect on the end product design and function and
determines and prepares documentation necessary for change.
2. Independently manages complex aspects
of a project; advises customers and manufacturers and determines processes for change reporting.
3. Reviews released engineering change data and changes documenting activities to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in relevant technical field. 4-6+ years of related technical experience, or an equivalent
combination of education and experience.
Required Skill/Ability 1: Proven ability in business analysis and functional solution design, including the development of detailed requirements documentation.
Required Skill/Ability 2:Excellent planning, prioritization, and time management skills. In addition, the ability to work independently,
possess superior initiative, excellent written, and verbal communication skills.
Required Skill/Ability 3: Proven ability to plan and lead meetings including preparing agendas and distributing related meeting
minutes.
Required Skill/Ability 4: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Visio
Required Skill/Ability 5: Experience in and working knowledge of Health and Welfare Benefits including Retiree Benefits, Retirement Savings, and Pension plans. Thorough knowledge in the Workday Benefits module and one or more modules of cross applications (HCM, Recruitment, Payroll, Advance Comp, LMS (Learning Management System), Reporting, Security, Integration Support).
Preferred Licenses or Certifications:
Higher Education industry experience.
