Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Independent Living Skills Trainer to support the needs of an individual with Acquired Brain Injury. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing hands-on support in daily living, community integration and social engagement. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality care while working closely with clients to develop personalized plans that address their unique needs and goals. Candidate should be ready to start as soon as verification and background checks are cleared.Responsibilities Evaluating the individual’s current skills and identifying areas for improvement. Providing one on one training in daily living skills. Collaborating with clients to set realistic and achievable goals for independent living. Teaching and reinforcing various skills necessary for daily living. Providing continuous support, encouragement, and guidance throughout the learning process. Foster positive relationships with clients to encourage social interaction and community involvement. Regularly assessing progress and adjusting training plans as needed. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the client’s rehabilitation. Qualifications Previous experience as an ILST or a background in behavioral health or a related healthcare role is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively clients, families, and team members. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others maintain their independence and dignity. Ability to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate client schedules. Certification or training in ILST or related fields is required.
