Indeco North America is a fully integrated manufacturer of heavy-duty hydraulic attachments for demolition, scrap, recycling, mining and road construction applications in Milford, CT.
Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced hydraulic repair mechanic to work on a variety of heavy-duty construction and demolition equipment, including our world-famous hydraulic breakers, mulching heads, plate and wheel compactors, pedestal booms, pulverizers, and mobile demolition shears.
Responsibilities include the upkeep and maintenance of heavy hydraulic equipment with a primary responsibility for heavy equipment repairs and refurbishing of hydraulic breakers. The hydraulic equipment repair mechanic is expected to perform incidental welding operations as well.
Requirements:
Minimum of five years heavy hydraulic equipment experience
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English
Ability to diagnose defects on heavy duty construction equipment
Repair and refurbish hydraulic equipment including hammers, pedestal booms, shears, and pulverizers
Ability to read hydraulic schematics and inspect hydraulic systems, hoses, and mounting brackets
Utilization of safety equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots and hard hats
Welding knowledge
Skills in using and maintaining heavy and power tools
Material handling skills
Overtime work may be required on occasion
Other Requirements:
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
Trade School Degree preferred or work experience
Welding and/or Machining Experience a plus
Positive attitude, solid work ethic, safety conscious
Our ideal candidate has at least five years previous experience with hydraulic motors, valve and cylinder rebuilding in a work environment involving lifting materials and machinery tools. Previous experience working on hydraulic hammers and related hydraulic demolition equipment is required.
