Material and Logistics Coordinator
Location: Hamden, Connecticut 06517
Type: Full-Time, 7:30am-4:30pm
JFD Tube & Coil Products, Inc is a manufacturer of custom shell & tube heat exchangers for HVAC, oil & refinery, chemical, and pulp & paper industries. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, with a high
degree of accuracy, strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
1. Every morning create customer invoices from the prior day’s shipments
2. Daily check of inbound shipments from our freight carriers
3. Begin daily shipments, which includes getting freight rates, creating Bills of Lading & Labels
4. Bring all paperwork necessary for that day’s shipments to our Shipping Department in the shop.
5. Enter MTR’s (Material Test Reports) into our database to track all of the raw materials that we use.
6. Daily communication with our VP of Manufacturing and Operations to make a list of the next day’s
Shipments, give one list to Shipping Department in the Shop before leaving that day so they know what they need to work on the next day.
Requirements & Skills:
1. Teamwork is a must
2. Strong attention to detail and organization.
3. Strong communication skills, there will be daily communication with customers, carriers and co-workers.
4. Able to work in a fast-paced environment, proactive and a problem solver
5. Experience with E2 is a plus but not required.
Education & Experience:
1. College Degree preferred or
2. At least 2 yrs. experience in shipping and logistics in Manufacturing.
