Part-time (flexible hrs.) Assistant Property Manager leading to Full-Time Property Manager position. Beautiful, well-maintained 59-unit apartment complex in Seymour, CT. During part-time period (1-3 years), candidate must live within 15 minutes from property. For full-time position, manager would live on site.
Person would train under current property manager (who will be retiring in the next few years) and to master the following responsibilities:
Contribute to maintaining a positive experience for prospects, residents and their guests
Coach team members to assure that consistently high quality work is done in a timely and friendly manner
Maintain hard and digital resident files (using Rent Manager software)
Collect and deposit rent and security checks
Supervise work crew and vendors to assure work is completed in timely manner; and appearance of property meets our standards
Act as main point of contact for tenants and vendors, responding to complaints, concerns and requests in a timely manner; must be able to be reached for emergencies
Show apartments to perspective tenants
Manage the apartment turnover process
Renew leases annually accompanied by an apartment inspection
Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
High level of integrity and commitment to excellence
Strong communications and interpersonal skills
Works well under pressure; even-tempered and diplomatic
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Familiar with web digital advertising
College degree and property or business management work experience is required
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends when needed
Must have Smart Phone, car, and active drivers license and car insurance
Compensation - $30 per hour
