We are a residential GC seeking an Assistant Project Manager. We handle many different types of building and remodeling projects, from large additions and renovations to small repairs. Our projects are Fairfield County, CT.
Responsibilities for this role include:
- On site coordination with our team of carpenters as well as all Subcontractors.
- Provide written and verbal communication with the field teams on daily and weekly goals; report all progress to Owner
- Assist Owner with managing and updating project schedules and project budgets
- Communication with clients and home owners via status update emails
- Communication and coordination with all design / architect teams
- Assist owner with estimating new projects, generating new proposals, change orders, RFI's/requests for clarification, and all other project management documentation
- This role requires this person to be on site, sometimes several different sites, nearly every working day. When not on site or attending other meetings, this is a WFH position.
Skillset / Requirements:
- Must be familiar with construction terminology and construction methods and practices across all residential trades
- Must be familiar with reading and understanding architectural drawings
- Must be well versed in Excel and PDF measuring tools
- Must be familiar with common building materials across all trades.
- Must be familiar with navigating local material supply companies (lumber, roofing/siding, and others) and comfortable coordinating purchases and deliveries. At times materials can be moderately heavy.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish speaking and writing - "professional level"
- Must have a valid driver's license, vehicle, and insurance
- Must have experience in the construction industry, minimum 2 years or equivalent experience in internships or similar
Compensation:
- Hourly rate to be determined based on experience (1099 Employee). I will consider a part-time option as well.
- Reimbursement for gas mileage (work-related)
- Year-end or project-completion bonus depending on profitability
- Bonus for generating new work
