BOUND CONSTRUCTION IS LOOKING TO HIRE CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENTS FOR (2) LOCATIONS
Bound Construction Corp., a growing Design-Build, Construction Management firm, is seeking dedicated Site Superintendents for 1x position in Orange, CT/Southwest Connecticut/north of NYC area, and for 1x position in the NYC Metropolitan Area, that can work in a fast-paced environment and who is ready to jumpstart their career in the construction industry. The individual will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects in all regions surrounding NYC and working closely with seasoned professionals.
Bound has become a leader in Public & Private EV Charging, Green Energy Infrastructure, Healthcare, Institutional, and Warehouse Fit-out construction projects. Our work environment is fast-paced, challenging and laser focused on client satisfaction.
The successful candidate should have interiors, mechanical, civil, or utility services experience as well as 5 plus years of experience in the construction industry.
Duties and responsibilities:
· Manage RFIs, submittals, schedule, budget, scope additions, change requests, and other project documents through our project management software (Procore).
· Act as the primary contact with the subcontractor team throughout the duration of the project.
· Conduct periodic meetings with key project stakeholders to report on progress.
· Proactively communicate project risks and proposed mitigations.
· Facilitate initiation of all critical project meetings and coordination exercises with internal staff, key stakeholders, and external users to ensure responsibilities are efficiently, accurately, and effectively communicated and understood by all concerned.
· Always maintain clear communication with the project team.
· Develop and maintain project schedules utilizing MS Project.
· Supervise construction progress and report accordingly.
Essential skills and abilities:
· Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple subcontractors & vendors.
· Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work independently, take initiative and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
· Ability to use Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 is highly preferred.
· Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore & Bluebeam.
· Ability to review and fully comprehend MEP drawings and reports. Comment and suggest potential improvements for smoother project implementation, minimal disruption, phasing, and potential impact on other infrastructure components.
· Strong communication and time management skills.
· MUST have Valid Driver's License and Automobile.
Education and Experience:
· Minimum 5 years of industry relevant experience.
· MEP knowledge.
