Position Title: Inside/Outside Operator
Location: Milford, Connecticut
Duration: Extension based on performance
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Pay Range: US $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
Shift Pattern: Rotating 12-hour shifts:
-Day Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
-Night Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
-Includes days, nights, and weekends on rotation

Who we are looking for / Requirements:
Our client seeking an experienced Inside/Outside Operator to join a small, collaborative team (2-4 people per shift) supporting Co-Gen and Boiler House operations. This role involves maintaining water treatment and steam systems, monitoring control panels, and performing rounds both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Candidates should have 5+ years of relevant experience, strong safety practices, and a background in boiler operations, water treatment, or electrical generation. Personal safety shoes are required; other protective gear will be provided.
Basic Skills:
High School diploma or GED equivalency required
Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
Power plant operation experience
Demonstrated excellent safety performance and attendance
Possess high degree of "people" skills and be able to effectively communicate with other team members daily.
Candidate must be able to work on elevated work platforms, catwalks, scaffolding, etc. Enter and work in confined spaces.
Able to perform Co-Gen Outside Operator duties for water treatment equipment, water chemistry, river pumps, ETP rounds, compressor rounds, & other outside rounds as necessary)
Able to perform Co-Gen Inside Operator duties, including turbines, steam system, electrical systems, process air systems, and Rockwell Control System in-depth
Preferred Skills:
Relevant work experience in electrical Co-generation, Boiler House, Water Treatment processes
CT OE-2 Limited Operating Engineer Journeyperson License
Mechanical abilities a plus
Knowledge of SAP
Other Skills:

Good communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with many different people daily.
Work with no supervision or in a team to complete work on time.
Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:
Primary Duties (include but not limited to)
Be a working team member of the Co-Gen operating team – troubleshoot, adjust, and operate water treatment equipment, maintain proper water chemistry, operate river pumps, complete ETP rounds, compressor rounds, other outside rounds, and support both inside and outside operator roles as necessary
Expected to learn operation of CoGen/BoHo systems & how to effectively shutdown & start-up
Demonstrate compliance with safety practices & procedures, environmental requirements, & housekeeping standards.
Perform data collection & entry, and maintain report data
Shutdown, start-up, and operate all outside area (WTP) equipment and inside area equipment (Co-Gen, steam system, water system, process air system, Rockwell control system)
Participate in shift operations meetings & support plan of the day as assigned
Complete routine maintenance
