Note: The hourly rate for this position is $45/ hour.

Responsibilities:

Hours: Monday - Friday 6:30 am 40 hour weeks

Ground up construction of multiphase apartment building

Currently in roughing stage pulling wires

Qualifications:

MUST BE A CITY OF NEW HAVEN RESIDENT

Current/Active Connecticut Journeyman Licensed Electrician

OSHA within the last 5 Years Certification or a willingness to obtain it

Perform tests and use the results to diagnose problems for example, when an outlet is not working, using a multi-meter to check the voltage, amperage, or resistance to resolve the appropriate course of action

References that will verify your professional skills and experience

Measuring, cutting, and bending wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools

Performing semiskilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment

Following state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code

Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

Prior experience in the commercial field preferred

Prior experience using standard hand tools for E2 included but not limited to Cutters, Volt Meter, Cordless Screw Driver required
