Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic and Truck Equipment Installer/Up-fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with problem solving skills. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining various work truck equipment and accessories. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in vehicle maintenance. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Must be punctual and have a strong ability to follow detailed instructions.
Duties:
Install and assemble truck equipment such as trailers, lift gates, and other accessories according to specifications.
Perform tire service and brake repair on various vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with service technicians to troubleshoot issues and provide effective solutions.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in mechanical roles with a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance.
Familiarity with tire service procedures and brake repair processes.
Working knowledge of: hydraulics and plumbing, wiring, and mechanical aptitude.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Must be able to lift 100lbs
Experience in cutting and welding steel is a plus.
