Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team, specializing in the fabrication, modification, and assembly of metal components for emergency vehicles such as ambulances, fire trucks. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding, cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts to meet exact specifications while ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication & Assembly:
o Cut, bend, weld, and shape metal components using fabrication tools and machinery.
o Assemble and install metal structures and components for emergency vehicles.
Welding & Metalwork:
o Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel.
o Use grinders, plasma cutters, and shears to modify and finish components.
o Ensure high-quality welds with smooth finishes, free of defects.
Customization & Modification:
o Fabricate custom storage compartments, racks, bumpers, and reinforcements.
o Install specialized brackets, mounts, and protective structures as per client requirements.
o Modify existing vehicle structures to accommodate emergency equipment and features.
Quality Control & Safety:
o Inspect and test completed components to ensure durability and compliance with safety regulations.
o Follow safety protocols, including proper handling of materials and tools.
o Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements:
Experience & Skills:
o Minimum 2-5 years of experience in metal fabrication, welding, or related field.
o Skilled in using fabrication tools (welders, plasma cutters, brake presses, saws, etc.).
o Experience working with aluminum and stainless steel is a plus.
Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):
o AWS (American Welding Society) Certification.

Work Conditions:
Full-time position.
Work in a fabrication shop setting with exposure to noise, heat, and metalworking hazards (PPE provided).
