We are seeking a full-time, Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer to join our busy and highly successful team at West Haven Funeral Home; a respected and well-regarded family-owned establishment with decades of service excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for removals, embalming and other preparation of human remains, as well as funeral arrangements including pre-planning, coordinating, facilitating, and attending, while providing compassionate support to families during their time of need. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and service excellence.
The ideal candidate will have: 3-5 years of experience as a Funeral Director/Embalmer; hold an active license to practice within the State of Connecticut; possess strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, and a schedule that will accommodate working on-call shifts and select weekends. Out-of-State residents may be considered based on professional experience and state licensure reciprocity guidelines.
