Operations Coordinator
Hybrid Fulltime Monday-Friday
First Choice Transports, LLC, a fast growing transportation company is seeking an Operations Coordinator to oversee and manage the daily and long term operations of all drivers and vehicles in a safe, professional, and efficient manner.

This position is hybrid and will involve working in the field/office multiple times throughout the week.
Specific Rolls and Responsibilities (but not limited to)
Coordinate and assign all runs for drivers daily
Communicate with service providers with acceptance and denials of new clients
Coordinate any changes in schedules with drivers.
Maintains dispatch software
Ensures all safety procedures are being followed
Assist with driving routes with use of navigation applications
Communicates pertinent information to drivers (traffic, construction, weather delays)
Conducts monthly vehicle inspections
Oversees driver's files and ensures that all drivers maintain current certifications.
Works closely with the Operations Director on necessary maintenance on vehicles and makes recommendations
accordingly.
Configures driver's working hours, reviews for accuracy.
Acts as a Credential Driver when necessary to prevent interruption of business practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Must have at least 3 years of Transportation related experience.
Thorough knowledge of the highways, roads, and geographic area of the state of Connecticut.
Experience in Dispatch or Transportation Operations preferred.
Certifications/Licenses:
Must have a CT Driver's License in good standing.
Must have at a minimum a V endorsement or the ability to become endorsed.
