Description Controller - NewingtonReference ID: BR0013090122Contact: Brittany Rizzo / Brittany.Rizzo@roberthalf.c.mResponsibilities: Oversee all accounting of the organization Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures Regularly perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy Coordinate all audit activity and act as a key point of contact for external auditors Manage the month end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements Manage the production of annual budget and forecasts, and monitor progress against these budgets Leverage the financial and accounting system technologies to automate and streamline processes Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely transaction processing Prepare monthly sales tax reports for review and submission. Please note that the ability to use ADP and QuickBooks, along with the willingness to be hands on and a team player in a small company environment will be crucial for success in this role.Requirements Requirements: Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller or Accounting Manager role within a small sized business Must be willing to be hands on and pitch in where needed, which may include tasks outside of accounting, including answering the phone, checking the mail, etc. when someone is out.
