Job Title: Farm Hand & Gardener – General Laborer (25 hrs + $20-25/ hr

About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable Farm Hand (chickens only) & Gardener to assist with the upkeep and maintenance of a small private estate. This role involves a mix of landscaping, gardening, light farming tasks, and general property maintenance. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors in all seasons, has hands-on experience with gardening and landscaping, and is skilled in safe operation of tools, including chainsaws.
Responsibilities:
Maintain gardens, lawns, flower beds, and landscaped areas (planting, weeding, mulching, pruning, watering, etc.)
Operate chainsaws and other power tools safely for tree trimming, brush clearing, and firewood cutting, stacking
Perform routine property maintenance including mowing, edging, hedge trimming, and clearing debris
Assist with small-scale farming tasks such as soil preparation, composting, and seasonal planting/harvesting
Maintain environment, equipment, and tools in good working condition
Carry out general labor duties as needed (lifting, hauling, cleanup, etc.)
Follow all safety procedures and ensure a tidy, well-kept environment
Qualifications:
Proven experience in gardening, landscaping, or farm work
Proficiency with chainsaw use and general power tools (safety knowledge required)
Ability to perform physical, outdoor labor in varying weather conditions
Basic knowledge of plants, soils, and garden care a plus
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Valid driver’s license preferred- clean driving record, no criminal history
Work Schedule & Compensation:
Flexible part-time or full-time hours (to be discussed)
Compensation based on experience and skills
