Location: New London County, In-home assessments and repairs required
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (No weekends, No holidays)
Pay Rate: $20/hour (Starting pay as there is training involved)
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and mechanically inclined Repair Technician to join our team, with the potential for the position to become permanent. This role involves traveling to clients' homes to assess and repair wheelchairs within a specified time frame.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-home assessments of clients’ wheelchairs, identifying any issues or necessary repairs.
Perform repairs on wheelchairs as needed, ensuring that all work is completed within the designated time frame.
Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally and respectfully with clients.
Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, repairs, and client interactions.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair wheelchairs.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Prior experience in a related field or training in mechanical repairs is a plus.
Must have a clean driving record and background
Company van provided for travel throughout Connecticut
