Job Description
The Applicator will assist in diagnosing and treating insect, disease, and nutrient issues affecting trees and shrubs
Responsibilities
-Tree and shrub pruning maintenance and care
- Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers in accordance with state and federal laws
- Accurately diagnose common pests, diseases,nutrient deficiencies and pruning needs Training with us to bring you to our level
- Maintain detailed application records and follow safety protocols
- Assist with PHC inspections and monitoring
- Help maintain and calibrate application equipment
Requirements
- Connecticut Pesticide Applicator License preferred but we can help you get this
- Valid driver’s license (CDL or willingness to obtain is a plus)
- Knowledge of tree and shrub species native to Connecticut is a bonus
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a crew
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in PHC or tree care is a bonus
- Experience with hydraulic spray rigs and backpack sprayers is a bonus
- Background in arboriculture, horticulture, or related field is a bonus
