Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ensure safe work practices and adherence to established safety procedures

Ensure quality of work meets all required specifications

Accountable for department output and efficiencies in area of responsibility

Maintain a harmonious manufacturing/work environment

Participate in daily production alongside team members

Work in production cells to ensure maximum efficiency

Maintain communication with production managers, production leads, and fellow associates in order to maximize quality and output

Suggest and implement continuous improvement projects

Recommend an implement to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product

Maintain and improve 5S in all areas of responsibilities

Successfully trained and demonstrated expected output against at least 50% of the Assembly Skills Matrix

Learn higher technical level manufacturing jobs, processes, and other necessary operations and functions

Cuts and prepares cable or wire to specified lengths using either hand or automated tools.

Able to use measuring tools and equipment in order to meet required tolerances.

Attaches cable or wire to components or plugs by soldering and/or crimping.

May need to solder or connect electronic circuit boards or other electronic components.

Configures cable in jigs in order to create coils, angles or other configurations.

Able to coil cables onto mandrels per requirements using hand or automated coiling equipment.

Able to operate molding machines.

Tests continuity, cross-continuity and hi pot using a variety of electrical test equipment.

Packages completed harnesses and assemblies for shipping.

Accurately documents time and work performed for specific tasks or operations.

Qualifications

Drive for continuous improvement

Effective communications skills

Knowledge of Lean principals as well as demonstrated Lean improvement experience is a plus

One or more years in an Wire and Cable Assembly Manufacturing environment is a plus

2-4 years of proven results of quality and output in a manufacturing environment

IPC-620, and J-STD-001 certification is a plus.
