We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our crew for ongoing pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) projects throughout Connecticut and surrounding states. We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable in the carpentry trade, hardworking, safety-focused, enjoys personal development on and off the jobsite, and looking to join a growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with erection of pre-engineered metal buildings, including framing, siding, roofing, and trim installation
- Perform precise layout, measuring, cutting, and assembly of metal components
- Operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and basic heavy equipment (boom lift, scissor lift, telehandler)
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and installation manuals
- Help with layout, setting anchor bolts, installing girts/purlins, and other structural components
- Maintain a clean, organized jobsite and assist with material staging
- Work effectively with the crew to meet project deadlines
Requirements:
- Experience in construction or carpentry (metal building experience is a plus but not required)
- Strong understanding of framing, measuring, and working at heights
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work in various outdoor conditions
- Comfort operating lifts (boom/scissor) — certifications are a plus
- Must have reliable transportation
- Basic tool set preferred (impact, drill, tape, hammer, snips, etc.)
- OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 preferred
