IMMEDIATE OPENINGS: Private Duty, In-Home CNA/Personal Care Aide. Two positions available.

NORTHWEST CONNECTICUT, NORTHWESTERN LITCHFIELD COUNTY
Private duty personal care aides needed to provide solo hands-on care for a female client suffering from advanced dementia. One-on-one solo care in a private home setting. Caregivers assist with transfers, toileting, feeding, showering, grooming, dressing, taking vital signs, charting.
Two part-time positions available:
Saturday 7AM-3PM EVERY OTHER WEEK
Saturday 3PM-11PM EVERY WEEK
The positions can be combined into one job. Additional fill-in shifts and additional permanent shifts are possible including room to grow into a full-time position for the right caregiver.
All candidates MUST (These are absolute requirements for these positions):
Be prepared to begin work within two weeks
Reside within a reasonable distance of Northwest Corner CT (Litchfield County) and have reliable transportation
Have THREE excellent relevant references for hands-on personal care
Have demonstrated experience with dementia patients
Be capable of executing heavy stand and pivot transfers between bed, wheelchair, recliner, toilet, shower alone
Be familiar with Hoyer and Sara Lifts
Be able to take vital signs and chart information
Be kind, compassionate, respectful of personal boundaries, discreet, and professional
Be drug free
Respect the privacy of the client and family
Show up on time for and remain until the end of all assigned shifts
Take instruction well and follow directions
Be able and willing to work cooperatively with fellow caregivers and the family as a team. No drama
This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate. Compensation and Benefits Include:
Paid Training
$18/hour to start, raise in 60 days. (Senior staffer earns up to $38/hour.)
