ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works with Senior Facilities Manager and Director to conduct repair and maintenance of buildings, equipment, landscaping and other outdoor areas.
Runs errands as needed.
Uses an assortment of tools for repairs on small projects when needed, including windows, doors, painting, fence building, trail maintenance and landscaping.
Assists with cleaning duties, including empty garbage, rodent removal, leaf blowing, weed eating, sweeping, cleaning buildings, washing windows, and snow removal.
Assists the Senior Facilities Manager and Director in coordinating and preparing for group and community events.
Periodically moves furniture, mattresses, chairs, and other furnishings in the Center’s buildings and common areas.
Assists the Senior Facilities Manager with regularly monitoring boilers, washing facilities, electrical, plumbing, security systems, agriculture irrigation and other mechanical systems to make sure they are in working order.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Facilities Manager and Director of the Center
Adhere to confidentiality rules and all other policies, procedures and rules.
Perform all duties in a manner that promotes the company's mission and core values.
Assume other related responsibilities and special projects as required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ACTIVITIES
Excellent organizational and listening skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills - both oral and written - and the ability to work with people from all walks of life.
Knowledge of the Center’s buildings and mechanical infrastructure on the property.
Ability to work independently and as part of a community of compassion and hospitality.
Ability to work flexible schedules.
Willingness to learn new skills and to take instruction and directions.
Strong interpersonal skills, judgment, discretion, and integrity.
Highly resourceful team player.
REQUIRED AND PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CREDENTIALS
Valid driver’s license
Two years’ experience in the hospitality industry.
Previous experience working at a center, conference center or religious institution.
3-5 years of working in maintenance at a large facility.
