We are looking for a reliable, hardworking individual to join our team at a small, private 3-horse barn. This is a hands-on position that involves a variety of tasks to ensure the well-being of our horses and the maintenance of the barn. We are a modern barn with all new equipment and a climate-controlled building. Horses are 3 semi-retired geldings who are extremely safe and easy to handle. This is a NON-RIDING position.
Responsibilities:
Daily feeding and watering of horses
Mucking out stalls/pastures and maintaining a clean, safe environment
Turning horses in and out of the pasture
Picking out horses' feet
Maintaining barn cleanliness and organization
Requirements:
Previous experience working with horses
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
Reliable transportation and punctuality (4x4 vehicle strongly encouraged for winter)
Ability to work independently and follow schedule left by barn manager and estate manager
Willing to undergo a background check and drug testing
Schedule:
This is a part-time weekend position, 8 am - 3 pm
Morning shifts required, with occasional evening duties
Compensation:
Competitive daily wage, based on experience, starting at $175 per day (extra pay for evening check)
