POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Property Associate
Position Term: April-October
GENERAL PURPOSE
We are a private estate, seeking a responsible and reliable person to help to maintain the property with a pleasant outdoor environment by ensuring all orchards, trees, grass, roads are clean and well-cared for.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Works under the Property Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Mow grass and trim around buildings and fences.
Perform general clean-up, including removal of fallen tree limbs and brush.
Weeding, mulching, pruning and trimming trees.
Maintain roadways within the property as needed.
Safely use tools and operate equipment necessary to clean and maintain property.
Bring maintenance issues to the attention of the property manager in a timely manner.
Assist with larger projects and perform other duties as assigned by the property manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in operating grounds keeping and landscaping tools and equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
High school diploma, GED, or two years landscaping or grounds keeping maintenance experience preferred.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to stand, walk, kneel, climb, push, pull, reach, use fingers to handle and feel, and wear protective apparel. Ability to lift and/or move 50 lbs. Exposure to cold, heat, outdoors.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions, including heat and/or cold. The employees may work near moving mechanical parts and are occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, PPE will be provided.
COMPENSATION $17-$20/ hr based on experience
