Those relationships have afforded us the opportunity to service customers for over 90 years in the steel business.Job Overview: The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for fielding customer inquiries, providing timely quotations, creating customer orders, and servicing the orders by working together with production, scheduling, and shipping.Duties and Responsibilities:
Fielding customer inquiries via phone or email. Gathering information for the proper understanding of the customer requirements and specifications while checking availability inventory to fulfill requirements.
Provide a quotation to the customer inquiry using templates and guidelines established by the inside sales manager. Provide timely responses and quotation follow up.
Use the AS400 system to enter customer Purchase orders and send confirmation of order entry.
Work with scheduling, production, and shipping to track orders and provide status updates to customers.
Handle changes to orders including expedites promptly and completely including follow up calls and emails when necessary.
Work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
Successfully use the AS400 and accurately complete paperwork as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor or management.
