JOB SUMMARYThe Dir, Art Director, Multimedia will oversee the production of photography, graphics, illustrations, and animation to support communication across internal and external channels. The Dir, Art Director, Multimedia will be responsible for formulating design concepts and presentation approaches for visual communications, and will be responsible for directing designers, animators, production manager and photographers.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESActively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.Lead and inspire the Communications organization and Charter content creators to deliver high quality visual storytelling content across a variety of platforms including internal and external channels.Partner with internal clients across the company to develop visual storytelling concepts that support business needs.Define creative briefs and formulate concepts for photography shoots, graphic design, illustration, and animation.Inspire and mentor creative team to deliver best-in-class work and develop their craft. Inspiration should come in the form of both advancing the creative vision and providing hands-on direction and executing design work as needed.Own the multimedia image library: Identify business needs and opportunities for photography, oversee and guide all still photography shoots, provide clear and consistent art direction that meets the visual storytelling needs across platforms and uses.Oversee the creation of storyboards and visual treatments for motion graphics and animated videos. Continuously evolve the video graphics package in close collaboration with Spectrum’s brand and visual storytelling groups to ensure a consistent look and feel across platforms and verticals.Oversee the creation of custom graphics and visuals for live events.Develop and maintain a unified look and feel for photo selection and graphics creation for internal communications platforms. Oversee project flow and ensure all projects are delivered with excellence, on strategy, on brand, on schedule and on budget.Perform other duties as requested.
