This is a full-time hours project / limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 4 - 12 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed. We have an exciting opportunity to join the NBC Sports team and be part of a storied brand as a Freelance On Air Graphics Project Manager.  NBC Sports showcases some of the most prestigious sports properties in the world: The Olympics, NFL, NBA, NCAA Football & Basketball, NASCAR, PGA TOUR, USGA, Churchill Downs, Premier League, Tour de France and many more.The role of the Freelance On Air Graphics Project Manager is to work with show production teams to develop and maintain graphics packages for on-air broadcasts. The position deals with all aspects of broadcast graphics creation and distribution, from concept & design to versioning, QC and final delivery. This role will support both studio and remote productions.This is a temporary/backfill position with an approximately 4-month run beginning February 2025.  The position has the potential to lead to longer engagements as opportunities develop or possibly conversion to staff.Role PurposeThe Freelance On-Air Graphics Project Manager operates as the logistical hub of our motion graphics projects.ResponsibilitiesAggregate project information and specifications:Formulate deliverables listsCreate job calendarsCreate budget estimatesWork with Scheduling and senior management to secure resources to complete the needed work (both internal and external resources)Manage the time of the artists, ensuring the project stays on calendarCollaborate with other in-house Project Managers to share resources amongst the various overlapping propertiesCollaborate with Art Directors to guide and facilitate the creative processCollaborate with show-side staff to set expectations, timelines and budgets as it pertains to their particular needs, shepherding projects from the build phase (pre-air) to the support phase (on-air support)Deliver the highest-quality graphics on time and on budget, ensuring a smooth workflow and punctual delivery of QC’d, air-worthy motion graphics assets
