OverviewA confidential, single‑family office affiliated with a sophisticated investment platform is seeking a Family Office / Fund Accountant to join a lean, highly collaborative finance team. This role supports comprehensive accounting and financial reporting across a diverse set of entities, including investment vehicles, operating companies, trusts, and foundations. The position offers broad exposure, direct stakeholder interaction, and meaningful responsibility in a dynamic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform core accounting functions including bank reconciliations, daily cash monitoring, journal entries, and month‑end general ledger closesMaintain books and records for family‑owned domestic and international for‑profit entitiesPrepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules across investments, operating companies, foundations, estate planning vehicles, and personal wealth structuresProduce monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for internal and external stakeholdersAssist with the preparation of VAT filings, internal and external budgets, and forecast analysesPrepare and/or review annual audit workpapers and assist with audit coordinationSupport ad‑hoc and special projects as directed by senior leadership or clients (scope varies year to year)Act as a key liaison with internal teams, external advisors, consultants, and service providersCommunicate directly with family members and stakeholders, including responding to requests that may fall outside traditional accounting responsibilities, in partnership with the broader family office teamQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline2–6 years of relevant experience in public accounting, fund accounting, family office, or comparable financial rolesStrong understanding of general ledger accounting, financial statements, and reconciliationsHigh proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting toolsExperience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks or similar platforms) preferredStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple entities and priorities simultaneouslyProfessional, discreet communicator comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders and family principalsAttributes for SuccessDetail‑oriented, proactive, and highly dependableComfortable working in a small‑team, high‑responsibility environmentAble to balance structured accounting work with ad‑hoc, client‑driven requestsDemonstrates sound judgment, discretion, and a service‑oriented mindsetCompensation & BenefitsA competitive base salary, performance bonus potential, and a comprehensive benefits package including health coverage, retirement plan with employer contribution, and paid time off.
