Role PurposeThe Production Finance team collaborates with the Sports Production and Operations to budget, track and complete analysis on NBC Sports’ programs. We work closely with FP&A and Controllership to fulfill Corporate reporting requirements and provide meaningful insights into spending and cost trends to Leadership. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play an integral role in the day-to-day management of Sports Production finances, including payment, tracking, budgeting, and forecasting. ResponsibilitiesActively involved Production Budget processes:In-depth preparation of budgets for upcoming seasonAttend budget meetings, manage follow-up, work closely with Scheduling department to manage staffing schedules and budgetTake ownership of assigned properties with oversight by managerAssist with annual budget efforts: pacing and reporting, identifying risks and opportunitiesAssist with FP&A and Controllership deliverables:Monthly closing: ownership of assigned monthly closing processes, including journal entries, variance analysis, and post-close financial reportingPacing, estimates, LRP, budgets and variance explanations, as assignedOwn accounts payable responsibilities for assigned sports:Accurately code invoicesCoordinate approvalsUpdate operators and team members on payment status, and work with vendors as neededOwn the process of actualizing production budgets by posting expenses in show models and reconciling to General LedgerUpdate and maintain individual cost tracking models, as requiredParticipating in regular financial update meetings with operatorsPrepare and provide financial analyses to operators, as requestedAd hoc projects, as necessary
