You have the opportunity to advance your healthcare career at New England Donor Services by joining a dynamic, professional team whose mission is to save and enhance lives through tissue donation.  As a Tissue Recovery Specialist you will become a member of a professional team working in a surgical setting where you will be trained to aseptically remove bones, skin, veins, corneas, heart-for-valves and additional tissues from deceased donors, while developing your technical skills in ways you never imagined possible. Schedule: As a full-time employee you will be on-call for 7 shifts (2 shifts are 12 hours (on-call) and 5 shifts are 24 hours (on-call)) within a 14 day period. Shifts start at 10:00am or 10:00pm. The work schedule is varied and includes overnights, some holidays and every other weekend. Additional mandatory training and meetings required. Orientation: During the first few weeks, travel to the Waltham, MA site will be required for orientation and training purposes. Approximately 3 days a week for the first 3-4 weeks will be required.Travel: This position is based in Vernon, CT. However, you will travel throughout New England in NEDS vehicles. Must be comfortable with long periods of driving.
