Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer in WALLINGFORD, Connecticut. The individual will be part of a team focusing on maintaining and enhancing the security of our systems and information. The role involves working with various technologies such as Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Technologies, Cloud Technologies, and Firewall Technologies.Responsibilities: Implement and maintain security measures to protect computer systems, networks and data Stay up-to-date on the latest intelligence, including hackers’ methodologies, in order to anticipate security breaches Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks Ensure that the company knows as much as possible, as quickly as possible about security incidents Work on cloud technologies and ensure the security of our data and systems in the cloud Conduct AB Testing and Auditing to ensure systems are secure and working as expected Work with AWS Technologies and ensure their secure implementation and usage Manage the configuration of our security systems and tools. Requirements Possess expertise in Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Technologies, Cloud Technologies, Firewall Technologies Proficiency in AB Testing, Auditing, AWS Technologies, Configuration Management, Cyber Security Demonstrable experience in the design, implementation, and management of security solutions Deep understanding of network protocols, data on the wire, and covert channels Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them Strong understanding of endpoint security solutions to include File Integrity Monitoring and Data Loss Prevention Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Familiarity with web-related technologies such as Web Services, SSO, SAML, OAuth, JWT Experience in developing, documenting, and maintaining security procedures Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CEH are preferred Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, or a related field is preferred Experience in a regulated environment is a plus Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines Willingness to stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and solutions.
