Overall Purpose and Objective of PositionThis position conducts credit analysis and due diligence reviews, makes decisions regarding credit limits and credit grading, develops and implements risk prevention strategies and maintains and updates risk information systems and credit data in support of the North American business units. The Credit Analyst will be required to exhibit initiative with regard to decision making within a delegated credit authority.    Primary Responsibilities/Essential FunctionsResearches data from various sources to ensure accuracy of analysis, including ordering credit reports and analyzing financial data, credit metrics, credit strengths/weaknesses and other information to support decision making and/or recommendations for credit approval while working within delegated credit authority. Conducts due diligence analysis to assist in determining transactional credit risk and whether to extend credit or require secured termsManage daily order releases and exposure levels across business linesAdditional ResponsibilitiesAdministers the implementation of, and compliance with, credit policies and procedures using approved methodology; communicates with traders and controllers to resolve conflicts.Maintains and updates credit reports and systems.Reviews credit risk exposure and follows up on trading/customer credit limit excesses, recommends and implements strategies to reduce exposures if necessary to ensure compliance with global credit policy.
